Sweet Tomatoes Exclusively Returns to Tucson

By Steve Forrester Between 2023 and 2024, over twenty different Tucson-area restaurants closed their doors. We’re happy to see that one restaurant has returned with their doors wide open, and not just returned to Tucson, but exclusively returned to our fair city. This restaurant is Sweet Tomatoes, which had its grand re-opening at Broadway and Wilmot on April 1st, 2024. At 11:00 a.m. on that drizzly Monday morning, a long line of guests showed up (the first in line arrived at least an hour early), and all applauded when the doors opened and the line began to slowly step inside the renovated restaurant. Pima Participates in Deaf Awareness Month

By RUTH BEHRPima Post September is Deaf Awareness Month, a time to recognize the unique culture and languages of the Deaf community. The North American Deaf community includes those who are deaf, deafblind, and hard-of-hearing as well as Children of Deaf Adults (CODAs).  According to Gallaudet University, approximately 0.9-2.2% of the US population has what the University refers to as “a severe hearing impairment or is functionally deaf.” While not all those people are part of the Deaf community, Ernest Willman, one of Pima’s American Sign Language professors, is among them. Willman, speaking through an interpreter, says, "I am from a generationally Deaf family. My parents are Deaf and my siblings are also Deaf." While the Deaf community is vast and diverse, they are...

This incident actually happened in California, where one can have their edibles and herb selection delivered right to your door. A young pizza delivery guy had a separate collection specifically for pets.  When you visit the dispensary, there may be an array of pet friendly treats to share with your furry friend as well.
