PCC ARC Food Pantry to Host Semesterly Health and Wellness Event

It’s easy to get discouraged and overwhelmed, trying to make ends meet while striving for a certification or degree. Everyone could use some help sometimes. The Aztec Resource Center and Food Pantry (ARC) at PCC West Campus offers help regularly to students and faculty. And on Thursday, Oct. 9, ARC is holding its semesterly Health and Wellness Resource Event at the West Campus from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in front of the library. Different community health and wellness agencies will be there to offer information and assistance to anyone who asks. By Caroline Hansen As the first UNESCO designated Creative City of Gastronomy in the United States, it’s only fitting that Tucson would welcome a guest pop-up for the first taqueria to receive a Michelin star, Taquería El Califa De León. The 12 day event hosted by GrinGO and Agave House Modern Cocina was held at Main Gate Square on the corner of University Boulevard and Park Avenue, just west of the University of Arizona campus. One of them, the Tucson Speedway track, is one of only three paved tracks in Arizona, with a .375 mile oval NASCAR track where you can see all kinds of cars racing: modifieds, late models, pro stocks, hobby stocks, super late models, thunder trucks and more. They host multiple races in one night. On Saturday, Sept. 13, their first race commenced with a bunch of Pintos from the 70s.
