To ban or not to ban: what’s going on with TikTok?

Originally called Musical.ly, the app has been compared to Vine and Triller. In 2017, Chinese owned company Byte Dance bought Musical.ly for $1 billion. Thus, TikTok was born. Tik Tok has been downloaded over 175 million times in the United States and over one billion times globally since its launch.
