Celebrating its fifth year of pets, Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima & Friends of PACC Festival, held on March 8, 2026, welcomed more than 1,000 animals of all shapes and sizes to both participate and watch as teams walked the parade route.
The event began in 2022 to raise funds and bring awareness to the needs of animals and Pima Animal Care Center (PACC)/Friends of PACC. PACChas a high intake volume with roughly 17,000 to 20,000 animals being helped year around, more than 10,000 being adopted into forever families and, not to mention, the animals being adopted after the parade as well.
Dogs-n-Donuts, a Tucson business focused on treats that are safe for dogs to consume, was one of the many groups who participated in the parade this past weekend.
“They do incredible work, and they deserve all the support they can get from our business, other local businesses, and the community,” stated the company regarding PACC.
Not only is the parade open to dogs and cats, but also present were snakes, donkeys, chickens and many more of our best friends.

Parade teams loaded into position just in front of Tucson High School on 6th Street and 1st Avenue before following the route around to 7th Street, pausing occasionally for iHeart Radio announcers and FOX11/ CW18 broadcast.
The parade concluded with almost 40 submissions in the parade, 50 vendors showing support with food and treats, live entertainment and open adoptions available for those passing.
Torre Chisholm, Chief Executive Officer for PACC, said, “The parade has grown larger than we ever expected. It’s an incredible testament to the passion Tucsonans have for pets and to local support for Pima Animal Care Center. We’re already discussing the time and theme for next year.”
