Hey, everyone! Welcome back to The Witching Weekly! I hope you all had a great Halloween, or Samhain celebration last week! I’d love to hear about it! Also, if anyone has suggestions for recipes, spells or tarot spreads, let me know!
This week, I wanted to share something that I don’t use as much, but maybe you can find it useful. Sigils are really easy to make and use, and they can serve nearly every purpose! You can use a sigil wheel or the word method, or look up a specific sigil if you so please. They can be used in hairbrushes or on lipstick, in notebooks or showers/baths, clothing tags, literally anything. There are just as many ways to activate them, like burning a piece of paper or a leaf with the sigil written on it, crossing it out or tearing it, writing it on your skin, washing it off your skin or even just visualizing it working.
Our tarot reading today is a Compass Tarot Spread for when you feel lost. It’s done by arranging four cards in a compass shape, starting with south, east, west then north. South is where you’re coming from, east is what lies directly behind you, west is what lies in front of you and north is the next move to make.
- XIII- Death (reversed)
This card does not mean something scary, as opposed to what everyone thinks when they first see this card. When reversed, this card represents refusal to change, unwillingness to adapt, stagnation and lethargy. This is where you’re coming from, what you are walking away from, if you so choose.
- Page of Wands
This card represents a new perspective, intellectual pursuits, being fun-loving, a desire to bring happiness to others and being unafraid of challenges or risks heading your way. While this lies directly behind you, it doesn’t mean you’re leaving it behind. It can be something you take with you, and maybe that is the last person you remember being.
- Six of Pentacles
This card has to do with prosperity, success, giving and receiving, kindness, sharing, stability, generosity and balance. This is what lies in front of you. You are heading in this direction, and depending on your future decisions and moves, this is where you will stay.
- Eight of Pentacles
This card stands for productive work, skill in your craft or business, learning through doing, dedication and reaping the fruits of your labor. How you interpret this is the next move you should make. Maybe you spend more time on your hobbies or a business, or invest your energy into something that will pay off. Either way, trust your gut!
I hope you found something to take with you this time! See you next week!
